Plan Your Wedding in Five Steps
You’re ENGAGED! You may be wondering where to start, what to do, and how to think straight - that’s okay! There’s a lot coming at you FAST, and we want to share how we can bring you clarity.
As planners, our workflow is incredibly complex and detailed. While detail is necessary and helpful for you, it can sometimes be overbearing. That’s why having a wedding planning process is a necessity for our clients. We’ve developed a foolproof planning process that has allowed our business to be much more streamlined. We’re now able to explain to brides (and even father of the brides!) exactly what we’re here to do. If you’re someone who loves when everything is laid out in order, you came to the perfect spot! (We’re that somebody too). Let us show you how we can help you plan your wedding in just FIVE steps.
Phase One - The Foundation Phase
You’re fresh-faced and oh-so excited for this new transition in your life! Prior to our initial consultation, we’ll send over our wedding planning questionnaire where we’ll learn all about you, your relationship, and all your wedding dreams. The first phase of wedding planning includes booking all of your priority vendors (venue, photographer, officiant etc). You’ll get our referral discounts + recommendations and we’ll act as the main point of contact between you and your vendors. You’ll receive all of our templates + resources, including a complete planning checklist, vendor comparison sheet, budget tracker, guest list spreadsheet, and many many more.
We’ll also establish your budget, guest list, your top priorities and will create a Custom Wedding Binder to store cohesive spreadsheets, contracts and timelines. Throughout our journey together, we’ll periodically outline tasks for you to do (such as choosing your bridal party, envisioning dresses, finalizing the guest list etc.) We’ll always keep you on track, help you avoid overwhelm, and will make sure you never miss a thing.
And not to worry, we’d never take away the parts of the process you WANT to do! If you’re a DIY bride, we love that. We can make as many or as little decisions for you as you’d like - we just want to help guide you in this foreign journey.
Phase Two - The Creative Phase
Ooh la la! In this phase, we focus on all things pretty. We’ll book your vendors that make your day unique, beautiful and personalized. This includes vendors such as your stationer, calligrapher, florist, rental, baker, transportation etc. Once these are all booked, you’ll feel your day is becoming more like you.
In this phase, you’ll start looking for your wedding dress! You’ll shop for your bridesmaids dresses, groom and groomsmen attire, will create your Wedding Website and will receive your Custom Vision Board to see it all come together. (So many brides don’t get to see an outline of all their ideas until the day actually comes - that gives us nightmares!) This is a turning point as your wedding vision and style is determined and your day is crafted specifically for you.
Phase Three - The Coordination Phase
All the hard work, research, vendor decisions and budget management is coming together to create your wedding day! We’ll create your Custom Wedding Timeline to give to all members of your bridal party, family members + vendors and we’ll work with your photographer to develop the most logistically sound outline of your day.
As wedding planners, our role is to facilitate all the moving parts of your day - and there are a lot! We’ll finalize your ceremony processional + timeline, coordinate all reception logistics and have a final venue tour to finalize the floor plan and decor layout. We’ll triple check our wedding checklist to make sure everything is accounted for.
If you hired us for Month-of-Coordination, you’ll jump in for phases 3 + 4.
Phase Four - The Execution Phase
It’s your wedding week! This is unlike any week you’ve ever experienced and we hope you soak it up! From your hair + nail appointments to salon dates with your girlfriends to the unreal hype you will feel - we want you to be present for it all. We’ll take over your inbox and contact each vendor to finalize timelines + confirm all locations and pickup times with your transportation vendors.
On your wedding day, our goal is to let you focus on being with family and friends that are here to celebrate you and to leave the logistics to us. We’re here to take any roles away from you and your parents because it will FLY by. You’ll officially hand over your timeline to us - All you need to worry about now is having the time of your LIFE. Trust the people you hired and go get married!
Phase Five - Post-Wedding Phase
You’re MARRIED! We’ll send over any final documents or payments as well as a questionnaire about your experience with us. We’ll also remind you to get started on those thank you cards and to review your vendors. They’ll appreciate it so much! We’ll send over checklists for changing your name and updating bank accounts as well. We’ll hold back tears as we say goodbye and send you off into the sunset with your new hubby.
