Behind The Scenes Events is a fast-growing wedding and small event design company based in Bismarck, North Dakota. We provide design services and glamping for bridal showers, bachelorette parties, girls weekends, honeymoon suites, date nights, proposals - you name it!
The Glamping Designer position is an exciting opportunity for those wishing to put their creative eye to use! This is a subcontracting position for design opportunities that the business generates. This position will work under the Founders to brainstorm event designs and communicate with clients to create a space they love and can celebrate in.
Duties
Conduct a consultation with the client for their event and their design wishes
Create a design plan for the event using our rental pieces
Oversee event set up and tear down
Use your creative eye to create a beautiful oasis for the client!
Requirements
Ability to work weekends is essential
Must have incredibly strong communication skills, response times, and be detail oriented
Must have reliable transportation, ability to drive a trailer is preferred
Must be able to carry and lift 30+ lbs.
Job Type: Sub-Contracting
Schedule:
3-4 hours for set-up and tear down time, depending on event type
Weekends
Dependent on event inquiries - we will confirm your availability
Education:
College Degree in Business or Design (Preferred)

Behind The Scenes Events is a fast-growing wedding and event planning company based in Bismarck, North Dakota. We provide wedding coordination and planning services for couples in the upper Midwest Region.
The Wedding Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity for those with experience in planning and the wedding industry. This is a subcontracting position for week day/weekend weddings. This position will have their own events and be responsible for month-of coordinating for all events. This position requires 3 years of eveng planning experience with references available. This position will take on a number of events per year for month-of coordinating. Referral opportunities are presented through Behind The Scenes Events and will be partnered with your schedule. Behind the Scenes Events has a full software platform you would be trained on, and all planning documents and all items you need for your events will be provided. It is your responsibility to live out Behind the Scenes mission and core values each and every day while representing the company. You will be trained under a certified wedding planner and day-of coordinator to ensure all employees/contractors at Behind the Scenes are operating to our company’s standards.
Duties
Begin communication with the couple 1-2 months out
Create a wedding day schedule, ceremony timeline, vendor contact list, and ensure all wedding planning tasks have been taken care of
Meet with the couple to solidify all details, and tour the venue if necessary
Be an advocate for the couple, keeping them calm under pressure and assisting with any issues that arise throughout the day
Oversee ceremony & reception set up
Execute all day-of operations for the wedding, which includes being at the venue from the very beginning of the morning through the first dance (typically)
Greet and direct all vendors
Communicate with all vendors regarding set ups
Set up of seating cards, menu cards, table numbers, favors, guest book and other decor
Send automatic texts to family members to ensure they arrive on time for photos
Assist the wedding party and family with any needs, questions or concerns
Ensure end of event arrangements are made for gifts, guest book, toasting flutes, etc.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in event planning/day-of coordinating
Ability to work weekends is essential
Must have excellent communication skills and be extremely detail-oriented
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.

Schedule:
1 hour for Rehearsal Dinner Coordination the day before
10-12 hour shift
