2024 Wedding Trends
From unique seating arrangements, to color, color and more color - we’re so excited to see what this year brings! Here are some trends that we’re keeping our eyes on.
Convertible Wedding Dresses
We’ve all heard of or seen a bride who had an outfit change - but that can get pricey! Did you know that some dresses offer a convertible option? Ask your bridal consultant when shopping for your dress to see a few 2-in-1 options. This could even be as simple as removing beautiful mesh sleeves as you roll into dinner.
Wedding Weekends
Why not extend the excitement? You spend months and months planning a wedding - you might as well maximize the time with the humans that are there to celebrate you. There’s nothing like arriving to the rehearsal and knowing you have a whole weekend of fun laid out in front of you!
If you have a lot of out-of-town guests, I find it nice to invite them for a pre-wedding night out, or an after-wedding brunch. This way, you can have even more quality time with your favorite people.
[Side note: This is also why I’m such a fan of destination weddings - I love when guests feel like they’re on a true vacation. You can feel the energy in the air!]
Bold & Bright!
This one is so fascinating to me, because when I was a bride in 2020, neutral was the only way to be. Brides are now embracing vibrancy, bringing bright and joyful colors to the experience, and are having fun with it.
Of course, there is a way to strike a balance - Let’s talk with your florist and designer to add subtle pops of color to details like signage, florals or centerpieces.
The “Non-Wedding“
This may not come as a surprise to you, but couples are wanting to celebrate their love with their family and friends, but don’t want to stick to all the stuffy traditions.
What makes a non-wedding? Casual, family style food. Smaller bridal parties, or no bridal parties at all! Intimate ceremony guest list, with a larger reception guest list. Lounge seating and a casual environment. Couples are even opting for a ceremony on Friday, with the reception on Saturday. The best part? There are NO rules.
Guest Dress Codes
The allure of encouraging guest fashion is on the horizon. This allows couples to inject some creativity and a tinge of rebellion into what typically would be defined as a traditional celebration. Think “Black Tie Affair”, where everyone sports their favorite black number.
Seated Wedding Parties
We’ve been seeing couples opt to seat their wedding parties in the front row in order to allow them to get a better view of all the love. We don’t see the traditional standing bridal party experience going away anytime soon, but this is a fun option, especially with a lower guest count. It is especially important to have a good game plan for your processional and recessional, as you’ll want to file efficiently in and out of the aisles.
Wedding Content Creators
While nothing can replace the beautiful footage creative team will capture on your big day, if you’re searching for those behind-the-scenes, candid moments, and playful reels that you’ll enjoy watching for years to come - a wedding content creator may be right for you.
