Rhosabelle & Chris’ Beautiful, Summer Filipino Wedding

Rhosabelle found me over a year ago and called with a simple request: an outdoor, intimate, summer wedding in Bismarck, ND. And the kicker - they were living in Guam at the time. Thank gosh for Zoom! ;) It was incredible to be her sounding board and on-the-ground resource for all things (and vendors) Bismarck.

Rhosabelle’s personality gave me LIFE! And Chris - oh I miss your thoughtfulness! This groom would ask ME what he could do on his own wedding day. 😭💛

I knew from our initial email conversation that I was in for a treat. From wine dates when they were home at Christmas, to a multitude of Zoom calls with breakdowns of a traditional Filipino ceremony - including who is lighting the candles, who’s in charge of the coins & veil, who the primary and secondary sponsors are, and more. It was so fascinating, and truly special to witness.

From homemade custom fans on every ceremony seat, to incorporating Star Wars elements, to a fashionable wardrobe change, to a head table/sweetheart table revamp allowing bridal party members to sit with their S/Os -

- this wedding, to it's CORE, screamed Rhos & Chris.

Hawktree allowed us to have a wonderfully unique setup. We began with an outdoor ceremony overlooking the valley, shifted into on outdoor/indoor cocktail hour with a cozy tented dessert area & outdoor (free) beer on tap, followed by an indoor dinner, and BAM - back outside for a cozy, tented celebration under glistening lights.

It was an honor to spend so much time with you both. I can wholeheartedly say the two of you are perfect together. I sure miss your “oldies but goodies” references, Rhos!
